Joint EVS Project

November 2006 - Oktober 2008

Overview hosting projects

Europe wide European Voluntary Service project within the EU programme YOUTH

In the framework of the European Youth Campaign for Diversity, Human rights and Participation
„all different – all equal“

This project is open for youngsters from partner countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Turkey. If you are between 18 and 25 years old, willing to dedicate 9 months of your time contributing to a local project in one of these countries and gaining personal development, and if you are enthusiastic and full of dynamism, you are the right candidate.

The EVS within this network starts in December 2006 or September 2007. 24 European volunteers will start their EVS at the same time, take part in the common pre-departure, on-arrival trainings, mid-term and evaluation meetings. All EVS projects are linked to each other through common contents: diversity, human rights and participation. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact the sending organisation in your country.

The organisations in our network can do both - send and receive volunteers. A sending organisation helps to find an appropriate project, keeps contact with the hosting organisation, organises the travel and prepares the volunteer for the stay in another country. A hosting organisation arranges the stay of the volunteer in the country, provides food, accommodation, pocket money, necessary training and support, according to the standards and requirements of the EU programme YOUTH.

More information about EVS, hosting projects and the EU programme YOUTH is available on: http://ec.europa.eu/youth/program as well as at the national agencies of the programme YOUTH and partner organsiations.
