The Vietnam Programme

Within the intercultural youth work of EXCHANgE a special emphasis lies on our programme with Vietnam. We have a close cooperation with Vietnamese organisations, associations and the Central Youth Association. Until now, various projects could be realised. We e.g. implement regularly specialist programmes that give multiplicators of the youth work and representatives of youth organisation the opportunity to get to know German and Vietnamese structures through two-way working visits. |

We also offer those study visits to youth. In autumn 2005 youth from Saxony-Anhalt could reflect jointly their life circumstances in music and stage workshops in Do Son. There, it became clear that there are no only differences.
Furthermore we offer youth to go to Vietnam for two or three months within the Programme KEK and to work in associations and projects of Vietnamese youth work. Experiences made during this stay can be presented to the public through expositions, movie presentations and road shows.
The network for German-Vietnamese youth exchanges in Saxony-Anhalt
Vietnamese people are the largest immigrant group in Saxony-Anhalt. That is why we want to increasingly develop and support projects that enable the encounter of German and Vietnamese youth.
In April 2006, the network for German-Vietnamese youth exchanges in Saxony-Anhalt was founded.
Additionally, we attend to the participants of the international “Kultur-Joker”. Within the scope of this project youth have the opportunity to work in Vietnamese youth associations for a period of three month.
We also provide our knowledge and good contacts to other partners and institutions of international youth work in Saxony-Anhalt. That way, different projects already could be imparted and supported.
